Mark Steven Reavis, age 62 of Hart, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, August 1, 2023 at home. He was born on April 3, 1961 in Lansing, MI, to William and Dorothy (Albright) Reavis. Mark married Connie Strickland on December 20, 1986 in Lansing, and she preceded him in death on July 21, 2012, after 25 years of happy marriage.
Mark graduated from Lansing High School and went on to work for General Motors Corporation for 37 years and also served as member and National Negotiator for the United Auto Workers Union (UAW). He loved riding his Harley, boating, going to the Silver Lake sand dunes, and traveling with his family. Mark especially loved spending time with family and attending all of his grandchildren’s school and sporting events, and watching them race their dirt-bikes.
Mark will be forever remembered and missed by his daughter, Lacey (Erik) VandenBrand; and son, Devin Reavis (fiancée, Ashley Curtiss); eight beloved grandchildren: Brinna, Jaelin, Knox, Conner, Blake, Kade, Riley, and Nickolas; his mother-in-law, Jeanette Strickland; brother, Michael Reavis; brothers-in-law, Gary Strickland and Michael Booth; niece, Janean; and nephews, Billy, Ryan, Alex, and Kyle.
He was preceded in death by his father, William Reavis; his mother, Dorothy (Robert) Swift; beloved wife, Connie; and sister-in-law, Sandy Booth.
The Memorial Service for Mark will take place at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 8, 2023 at Klaassen Family Funeral Home with Pastor Nate Birkholz officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
