Marilyn Louise Sietsema

Marilyn Louise Sietsema, age 92, of Grand Haven, passed away on Thursday, July 18, 2024, at Grand Pines Assisted Living. She was born on January 11, 1932, in Ferrysburg, MI, to the late Martin and Ella (Bolthouse) Sietsema.

Marilyn graduated from Grand Haven High School and spent her career working in the Food Service department at North Ottawa Community Hospital for over 40 years.

She was a former member of Christ Community Church and loved traveling all over the US, including Hawaii twice, and overseas. Marilyn enjoyed knitting, going on walks with her twin sister, Mary, and watching U of M football, which she was a huge fan of. She was also a fan of the Detroit Tigers.

Marilyn will be lovingly remembered and forever missed by her twin sister, Mary Sietsema; her nephews: Tom Seekman, Roger Seekman, and Doug (Cindy) Seekman; and great-niece and great-nephew, Ashley and Adam Seekman.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and sister and brother-in-law, Ruth and Harold Seekman.

The Memorial Service for Marilyn will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 24, 2024, at Klaassen Family Funeral Home. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Interment will be at Spring Lake Township Cemetery.
