Marie A. Whitt

Marie A. Whitt, age 80 of Spring Lake, passed away on April 28, 2022 at home. She was born on March 15, 1942 in Davenport, IA to the late Ralph and Doris (Withee) Howell. Marie married Richard Whitt on February 2, 1980 in Terre Haute, IN. He preceded her in death on October 2, 2018 after 38 years of marriage.

Marie attended school in both Iowa and California, later obtaining her associates degree and becoming an LPN. She worked at the Veterans Hospital in West Lafayette for most of her career before her retirement.

Marie is lovingly remembered and missed by her three daughters, Tammy Hayes, Kimberly Marchand, and Tonya Pugh; her son, Gerald Donovan; step-son, Jeff Whitt; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her daughters, Donna Morehead and Bonnie Brown; her son, James Donovan, and step-daughter, Teresa Marlow.

A private burial will take place at the Danville National Cemetery in Danville, Illinois.
