Marie Rita (Gideon) Nauta

Marie Rita Nauta, age 60 of Grand Haven, passed away on Friday, May 29, 2020 at home. She was born on February 19, 1960 in Quebec, Canada to the late Armand and Anna (Caplin) Gideon. Rita married Charles Nauta on May 29, 1986 in Grand Haven, MI.

Rita was a long-time resident of the Grand Haven area, and enjoyed cooking, playing cards, and going to the casinos. She also loved traveling, going for walks, and spending time with her family whom she loved so much.

Rita will be lovingly remembered and missed by her husband of 34 years, Charles; daughter, Melissa Gamez of Grand Haven; grandchildren, Liyah Gamez and Isaiah Personett; great-grandchild, River Gamez; as well as several brothers and sisters.

She was preceded in death by her son, Daniel Jason Cassivi.

Private family services will be held at a later date.
