Margaret Lee "Peggie" Williams, age 75, of Spring Lake, passed away peacefully on Monday, December 16, 2024, at Trinity Health Muskegon Hospital. She was born on November 8, 1949, in Batavia, New York, to the late Richard and Elizabeth (Zimmerman) Williams.
Peggie graduated from Spring Lake High School and attended Central Michigan University in Mount Pleasant. Peggie was an extremely active member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Spring Lake where she worked as an Administration Assistant in the Faith Formation Department.
Throughout her life, Peggie touched the lives of many as she was involved in teaching RCIA classes, assisting with First Holy Communion, the St. Mary's bereavement team, the Women's Club, and was a sacristan, lector and eucharistic minister.
Peggie is survived by her sister, Maribeth (Andrew) Lawrence; brother, Barry (Deborah) Williams; sister-in-law, Therese Williams; several nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews; and many friends, especially Mary Cassleman and Andrea Williamson.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and two brothers, Rich and Alan Williams.
The Memorial Mass for Peggie will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, January 17, 2025, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Spring Lake with Fr. William Vander Werff officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church.
Interment will be at Spring Lake Township Cemetery.
