Louise "Susie" M. (Davis) Reiss

Louise “Susie” Marie Reiss, age 90 of Grand Haven, passed away on Tuesday, September 18, 2018 at Grand Pines Assisted Living. She was born on May 29, 1928 to the late Tanzy and Rose (Meichels) Davis in West Olive, MI.

Susie married Joe Reiss on January 2, 1948 in Grand Haven, and they were married for 69 years before his passing on April 13, 2017. She was a member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, and was very active in her grandchildren’s lives; she was a wonderful grandmother.

Louise enjoyed quilting, baking, and sewing in her free time. She was also very patriotic; she always supported our Armed Forces by displaying yellow ribbons on the trees and flags on the related holidays.

Susie will be lovingly remembered by her daughter, Marilyn (Robert) Pintarelli of Appleton, WI; sons, Joseph (Cherie) Reiss of Grand Haven, Matthew Reiss of Hudsonville, Mark (Shawne) Reiss of Grand Haven; nine grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and daughter-in-law, Rosanne Reiss of Grand Haven. She was preceded in death by her son, Michael Reiss; grandson, Daniel Reiss; and brothers, Elmer and Arvin Davis.

A private Funeral Service and Visitation will take place at Klaassen Family Funeral Home with Rev. Jim VanderMeiden officiating. Interment will be at Lake Forest Cemetery.
