Louise Ann (Peterson) Madden, age 95, of Grand Haven (formerly, Muskegon), passed away on Wednesday, June 4, 2025, at home. She was born on May 19, 1930, in Muskegon, MI, to the late Andrew and Mabel (Hutson) Peterson. Louise married Donald K. Madden on June 27, 1953, in Washington, D.C. he preceded her in death on November 9, 2003, after 50 years of marriage.
Louise graduated from Muskegon High School, Class of 1948. She was a member of Beacon Light Community Church in Muskegon and was a lifetime member of the Disabled Veteran's Auxiliary.
Louise will be lovingly remembered and missed by her five children: Kay (Rev. Duane) Stanton of Greenville, Karl (Ann) Madden of Walker, Paul (Jackie) Madden of Norton Shores, Paula (John) Stilson of Grand Haven, and Lori (James) Clark of Grand Haven; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; three step-granddaughters and one step-great-granddaughter.
She was preceded in death by her parents; step-father, Roy Johnson; husband, Donald; and her three brothers: Charles Tyler, Donald Peterson, and Rev. Leroy Peterson.
A Memorial Visitation for Louise be held on Tuesday, June 10, 2025, from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. at Klaassen Family Funeral Home, with a family prayer led by Rev. Duane Stanton at 7:30.
Interment will be at Chapel Hill Memorial Garden in Grand Rapids.
