Louis "Lou" Calvin VanRaalte

Louis "Lou" Calvin VanRaalte age 97, of Grand Haven, passed away on Monday, February 24, 2025, at Trinity Health Grand Haven Hospital. He was born on June 19, 1927, in Grand Haven, MI, to the late Dick and Florence (Nichols) VanRaalte, Sr.

Louis graduated from Spring Lake High School and went on to proudly serve his country in the US Army, from 1945 to 1947, during World War II. He retired from A/P Parts where he worked as a foreman for many decades.

Louis was a member of the United Methodist Church of the Dunes for many years and was member of the V.F.W. Sgt. Alvin Jonker Post 2326, where he served as Past Commander.

Louis is survived by his daughter, Karilyn Labarge of Kennewick, WA; two grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by three sisters and six brothers.

Private family services will be held at a later date.

Interment will be at the United Methodist Church of the Dunes-Memorial Garden.
