Lorrie Kay Nicholson, age 58, of Spring Lake, passed away on Saturday, August 17, 2024, at Trinity Health Muskegon Hospital. She was born on August 22, 1965, in Greenville, MI, to Stanley and Wanda (Olsen) Reynolds. Lorrie married Jim Nicholson on October 1, 1983, in Greenville.
Lorrie graduated from Cedar Springs High School and later received her bachelor's degree from Davenport University. She worked at Trane Technologies in Kentwood. In high school, Lorrie was a cheerleader and was runner up for Red Flannel Days.
She was a member of the Grand Haven Eagles Aerie 925 and enjoyed boating, and traveling, especially to Mexico. She loved catching a sunset on the lake, spending time with her family, and especially her little dog, Sunny. Lorrie ‘s most favorite time of year was Christmas time, and she looked forward to it every year.
Lorrie will be lovingly remembered and missed by her husband of 41 years, Jim; and their two sons, Luke and Jace Nicholson; granddaughter, Aila Nicholson; her mother, Wanda Reynolds; brother, Rocky (Joanne) Reynolds; mother-in-law, Lois Nicholson; siblings-in-law: Corrine Shock, Cathy (Greg) Krieter, Frank (Rhonda) Nicholson, Jr., Suzanne (Roy) Lumbert, and Jack (Jennifer) Nicholson; as well as several nieces and nephews; and many cousins.
She was preceded in death by her father, Stanley Reynolds; father-in-law, Frank Nicholson; and her grandparents, Charles and Ledema Olsen.
The Memorial Service for Lorrie will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, August 23, 2024, at Klaassen Family Funeral Home with Pastor Doug Bytwerk officiating. Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 22, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
