Lorraine E. (Wheeler) Leymon

Lorraine E. Leymon, age 83 of Spring Lake, MI, passed away on Sunday, January 17, 2021 at Heartwood Lodge. She was born on December 28, 1937 in Benzie County, MI to the late David and Alta (Lewis) Wheeler.

Lorraine graduated from Empire High School and then married Earl Leymon on June 16, 1956 in Traverse City, MI. He preceded her in death in July, 2011, after 55 years of marriage.

She enjoyed being a stay at home mother to her daughter and taking care of things around the house. Lorraine enjoyed reading Christian books and helping out in her community by visiting widows who needed an ear to listen. She liked keeping busy by cleaning houses for extra money, and picking cherries.

Lorraine is lovingly remembered and missed by her daughter, Joan (Tom) Raspanti of Hobart, IN; two grandchildren; brothers-in-law, Lee and Jim Leymon; and her very good friend, Helen Schoeb.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Earl; son, Robert Earl Leymon; and her three brothers.

Private family services and Interment took place at Spring Lake Township Cemetery.
