Rev. Dr. Lisa Greene Henderson

Rev. Dr. Lisa Greene Henderson, age 63, of Grand Haven, passed away on Thursday, June 25, 2026, at Fayette's Assisted Living in Lowell. She was born on January 3, 1963, in Grand Haven, MI, to David and Mary (Hirdes) Greene.

Lisa graduated from Grand Haven High School and Grand Valley State University. She then attended graduate school at Western Theology Seminary, where she earned her Master of Divinity (MDiv) degree and her Doctorate degree. Lisa then became a pastor in Grand Rapids and Rockford, most recently pastoring at Bella Vista Church in Rockford.

In high school, Lisa participated in theatre and was a competitive ballet student and dancer. She loved her dogs, and in her free time, she enjoyed watching television and spending time with her grandchildren.

Lisa will be lovingly remembered and missed by her two daughters, Grace (Sam) Barnard and Anna (Chad) Slider; two sons, Seth (Janelle) Henderson and Ethan (Samantha) Henderson; four loved grandchildren: Jameson & Wesley Barnard and Norah & Mila Henderson; her mother, Mary Greene; her sister, Lori Greene; brother, Michael (Cindy) Greene; four nephews; and her two best friends, Anita Maas and Betsy Calhoun.

She was preceded in death by her father, David Greene; and grandmother, Ann Hirdes.

A Celebration of Life Service for Lisa will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 2, 2026, at Ada Bible Church-Bella Vista Campus, with Pastor Dale Dalman officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church. 

Memorial Contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association - Michigan Chapter, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, or Corewell Health Hospice & Palliative Care West Michigan.
