Linda Ann (White) Hierholzer

Linda Ann Hierholzer, age 77, of Grand Haven, passed away on Tuesday, April 29, 2025, at home. She was born on August 26, 1947, in Petoskey, MI, to the late Edwin and Annley (Thayer) White, Sr. Linda married John N. Hierholzer on November 25, 1988, in Grand Haven.

Linda graduated from high school in Petoskey and later received her bachelor's degree in education from Northern Michigan University. She moved to the Tri-Cities area in 1976 and spent her career working as a schoolteacher, retiring from Peach Plains Elementary School.

Linda was a member of the Retired Teachers Association and enjoyed nature, namely, watching the deer eating her beautiful flowers from her yard. Her grandchildren were the apples of her eye, and she relished any time spent with them.

Linda will be lovingly remembered and missed by her loving husband of 36 years, John; her daughter, Julie (Mark) Gronevelt of West Olive; and son, Chandler (Maria) Woodruff of Dowagiac; step-son, Matthew (Renee) Hierholzer of Davenport, FL; five grandchildren: Anna and Sophie Gronevelt, Olivia and Zoe Woodruff, and Carter Hierholzer; two brothers, Edwin (Mary Ann) White, Jr. and Dave (Peggy) White; and several nieces and nephews.

The Memorial Service for Linda will take place at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, May 5, 2025, at Klaassen Family Funeral Home with Pastor Doug Bytwerk officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Interment will be held at Lake Forest Cemetery at a later date.
