On Friday, April 23, 2021, Linda Sue Hall went home to join her Lord following a courageous five and a 1/2 month battle with cancer and other underlying medical conditions. She was born on April 6, 1942 to the late George and Suetta (Dozier) Martin.
Over the years, she was active in the First Presbyterian Church Stephen’s Ministry, League of Women Voters, “The Birthday Club," and Naples Lakeside Aquabelle's. Linda was an ardent supporter of her grandchildren and three daughters’ school and extra-curricular activities. She actively attended Sunday services at First Presbyterian Church in Grand Haven, MI, and Vanderbilt Presbyterian in Naples, FL. Additionally, Linda previously worked in various clerical positions for several Grand Haven businesses.
She loved keeping up with the latest fashion trends, home decorating, gardening, watching University of Michigan sporting events, reading, and caring for her beloved pets, Marco Polo and Gracie Sue. Linda maintained lovely homes in Grand Haven, MI, and Naples, FL, where she enjoyed being a hostess to friends and family. She will be sorely missed by friends in both communities.
Linda is survived by her loving husband of 60 years, Jon Hall; and daughters, Marcia Mycko, Lisa (Keith) Hall-Bridgeforth, and Julie Pekrul. As well, she leaves behind seven grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, sister-in-law, Carolyn Martin; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brother, Robert Martin; and a stillborn great-grandson, Kingston.
The Celebration of Life for Linda will be at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, July 23, 2021 at First Presbyterian Church, Grand Haven, with Rev. Kristine Aragon Bruce officiating. Friends may meet the family before or after the service, in the church lounge.
In lieu of flowers, Memorial Contributions may be made to the Grand Haven First Presbyterian Church- Youth Ministry, Grand Haven Area Community Foundation, or a local “no-kill” pet shelter.
