Leo Sebastian Walker

Leo Sebastian Walker of Grand Haven, passed away on Monday, May 27, 2024, at the age of 35. He was born on December 7, 1988, in Yorkshire, England, to Timothy and Janet (Dickinson) Walker.

Leo graduated from Grand Haven High School and went on to receive his bachelor’s degree in communications from Michigan State University. Following graduation, he worked as a mortgage banker at Rocket Mortgage for 13 years.

Leo was an avid sports fan and a loyal Spartan. He loved hosting family and friends and watching his beloved Michigan State, Manchester United, and English National Football (“soccer”) teams play. He was a proud shareholder of Detroit City Football Club.

Leo loved traveling with his family and friends – particularly the Franks – all over the country and of course, to England. He loved a good Walker wedding and never passed up on a concert or music festival.

Leo will be remembered and missed by his parents, Tim and Janet Walker; grandma, Frances Maureen Walker; sister, Natalie Walker; brothers, Oliver (Brenna) Walker and Alex Walker; nephews, Preston and Gavin Walker; dozens of aunts, uncles, and cousins; and many friends who were like brothers.

Leo was a friend to everyone; the most generous, altruistic, and kind soul. He is truly missed.

The Memorial Mass for Leo will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, June 4, 2024, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, with Fr. Bill Vander Werff officiating. Visitation will be held the day of the service, from 9:30 to 11:00 a.m. at the church.

Interment will be at Grand Haven Township Lakeshore Cemetery.

Memorial Contributions may be made to Harbor Humane Society or one of Leo’s favorite charities, Kendra Klaus (a Michigan-based non-profit that sponsors struggling mothers and their families to provide a Christmas like no other).
