Lavonna Lenna Dygert, age 88 of Spring Lake, passed away on Monday, January 22, 2024, at Trinity Health Muskegon Hospital. She was born on July 3, 1935, in Middleview, MI, to the late James and Ruth (Leonard) Hitchcock.

Lavonna graduated from Caledonia High School and then attended Grand Valley State University. She worked in sales her entire career until her retirement.

Lavonna was a spiritual woman who loved Jesus and enjoyed reading, especially from her bible. She also enjoyed spending time with her friends and family, namely her grandchildren.

Lavonna is lovingly remembered and missed by her son, Darl P. Dygert, Jr. of Spring Lake; her two beloved grandchildren, Maxwell (Neleka) Dygert and Andrew (Anjela) Dygert; three great-grandchildren: Kaylen, Quintin, and Weston Dygert; and her brother, Bill (Barb) Hitchcock.

She was preceded in death by her son, Todd Dygert; and brother, Jim Hitchcock.

Interment will take place at Spring Lake Township Cemetery.
