Kenneth Elmer Baumgarner

Kenneth Elmer Baumgarner, age 84 of Grand Haven, passed away on Wednesday, October 25, 2023 at home. He was born on September 4, 1939 in Beedeville, Arkansas to the late Chester and Ethel (McElyea) Baumgarner. Kenneth married Carrie Miller on March 21, 1959 in Grand Haven, and she preceded him in death on September 3, 2020, after 61 years of marriage.

Kenneth graduated from high school and moved to Grand Haven, where he worked at Miller-Smith Industries for 44 years before his retirement. After his retirement, he worked for Wirick’s Office Supplies for six years. Kenneth was an avid hunter and fisherman who loved to be outdoors.

Kenneth will be forever remembered and missed by his daughter, Patricia Meinel; son, Kenneth P. (Kristin) Baumgarner; four grandchildren: Ashley (Greg) Diehl, Kari (Jacob) Warvel, Ian (Melissa) Baumgarner, and Noah Baumgarner; two great-grandchildren, Braxton and Nora Warvel; sister, Emma Jean Smith; brother, William Mack Baumgarner; siblings-in-law, Maxine (Don) Schmidt, Mary Ellen White, Ruth Williams, Janice and Lucille Miller, Sarah Childers; and many nieces and nephews.

A private family Graveside Service will be held at Grand Haven Township Lakeshore Cemetery.
