Judith Ann VanderWel, age 73 of Grand Haven, passed away on Wednesday, December 5, 2018 at her home surrounded by her loved ones. She was born on August 16, 1945 in Muskegon, MI to the late Jerry and Mildred (Zillah) Maring. Judy married Jim VanderWel on August 26, 1965 in Muskegon, MI.
Judy most recently worked as an Office Manager for Harvest Bible Chapel of West Olive, where she was a member. Prior to that, she was a Financial Secretary for 20 years at First Reformed Church in Grand Haven. She loved to entertain and host get-togethers with friends and family; she was a great host with a love for fun and people. Judy had a creative side, and was often found making crafts for family and friends in her spare time, while loving on her four granddaughters.
Judy will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 53 years, Jim; her daughter, Julie (Beukema) VanderWel; son, Greg (Beth) VanderWel; grandchildren, Brooke & Abigail Beukema, and Emma and Ava VanderWel; sisters, Nancy (Steve) Vanderlip, Sue (Dave) VanRandwyk, Debbie (Greg) Teerman; and several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
The Service will be at 4:00 p.m. Sunday, December 9, 2018 at Harvest Bible Chapel, 15020 Stanton St, West Olive, MI 49460, with Pastor Todd Hostetter officiating. Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. at the church. Memorial Contributions may be given to Forgotten Man Ministries.
