Joyce C. (Schaefer) Stockhill

Joyce C. Stockhill, age 88 of West Olive, passed away on Monday, October 4, 2021 at home. She was born on February 8, 1933 in Queens Village, NY to the late John and Sophia (Kowalsky) Schaefer. Joyce married Gordon W. Stockhill on September 24, 1961 in Northfield, NJ. He preceded her in death on August 15, 2020 after 58 years of marriage.

In her younger years, Joyce enjoyed traveling with Gordon in their motorhome, and spending time with their friends and family, and meeting up with those friends in their dinner group.

Joyce loved having a different look in the house and was often found reorganizing furniture and décor to match her taste. She was an avid reader and enjoyed playing Mahjong with her group.

Joyce loved her family and her two dogs who kept her company, Maxie and Molly.

Joyce will be lovingly remembered and missed by her two sons, Brett Stockhill of Lansing, MI and Gordon R. (Mary) Stockhill of West Olive, MI; and one grandson, Toby Stockhill.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Gordon; and two sons, Glenn and Jackie Stockhill.

Private family services will be held.
