Joseph “Joey” Michael Devereaux, age 62, of Manistee, passed away on Saturday, September 21, 2024, at Harbor Hospice Poppen Residence. He was born on February 21, 1962, in Sault Ste. Marie, MI, to the late Thomas and Elizabeth (Kasbohm) Devereaux.
Joey graduated from Bear Lake High School and went on to work as a truck driver and mechanic for many years. He loved adventure and was a great storyteller and jokester. Joey was also a talented artist and great musician who loved playing his guitar.
Joey will be forever remembered and missed by his four sisters: Karen Vereeke, Barbara Devereaux, Judith (Joe) Stocki, and Peggy Randall; his brother, Thomas Devereaux, II; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews; as well as his lifelong friend, Mark (Sandy) Kolka.
The family would like to give special thanks to the staff at Harbor Hospice Poppen Residence for the loving care they gave to Joe while he was there.
A private Celebration of Joey’s Life will be held at a later date.
