Joseph Henry Vatterott, Jr., age 73 of Grand Haven, passed away on Tuesday, October 10, 2023 at Harbor Hospice Poppen Residence. He was born on November 3, 1949 in St. Louis, Missouri to the late Joseph and Margaret (Flaherty) Vatterott, Sr. Joe married Carole Wallace on August 15, 1987 in St. Louis.

Joe graduated from Saint Louis Priory School and went on to work as a General Manager in Hospitality, which he did until his retirement. He enjoyed traveling, going to the beach, reading, and golfing. Joseph also raced horses in his younger years, and was a short story writer, even having one of his books published.

Joe will be forever remembered and missed by his wife of 36 years, Carole; his son, Joseph Vatterott, III; as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, and a sister.

A Celebration of Joseph’s Life will be held at a later date to be announced.
