John “Jack” Cleland Raeside, Jr., age 82, of West Olive, passed away on Saturday, February 1st, 2025, at Lakeshore Assisted Living-Simarron, surrounded by loved ones. He was born on July 2, 1942, in Detroit, MI, to the late John and Sybil (Kingin) Raeside.

Jack graduated from Redford Union High School, earned his bachelor’s degree from Western Michigan University, and also attended Detroit School of Law. He started his career working for General Motors, later working for NBD Bank, and then worked in auto supply distribution in Dearborn, MI, as Team Leader of Sales at FB Wright Co.

Jack was a proud lifetime member of the Freemasons, served as a Shriner, and was a member of Demolay, where he served as Master Council. He was actively involved within the community serving as a board member of Sister Cities International, Redford Union School board, and President of the Sheldon Dunes Homeowners Association.

As an avid golfer, Jack was a member of Western and Lakelands Golf and Country Clubs and enjoyed traveling around the country for golf outings and tournaments. Jack enjoyed bowling in many leagues, including the Masonic League. Jack also loved spending time on his neighborhood beach along Lake Michigan.

Jack will be forever remembered and missed by his daughters, Kimberly (Paul) St. Jean and Pamela (Daniel) Rizzo; sister, Reva (Albert) Wujcik; niece, Karen Miller; nephew, John (Kristy) Wujcik; many great-nieces and great-nephews; as well as the love of his life and companion of 31 years, Judy Leese (and her son, Dave (Rhonda) Leese and their children).

The Memorial Visitation for Jack will take place on Monday, February 10, 2025, from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m., at Klaassen Family Funeral Home.
