John Edward Pelton

John Edward Pelton, age 81, of Grand Haven, passed away on Friday,  August 30, 2024, at home. He was born on February 24, 1943, in Grand Haven, MI, to the late Cort and Dorothy (Heinz) Pelton.

John enjoyed working on puzzles, going for motorcycle rides, going over to Four Pointes, and playing some pool with friends. He also enjoyed visiting family and friends, and loved to tease and was known to be a prankster. John loved taking walks down by the waterfront and grabbing some ice cream while watching the boats go by.

John will be forever remembered and missed by his daughter, Tammy (Terry) Wolschleger; sons, John (Angie) Pelton and David Pelton (Christine Podein); 10 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; sister, Barbara Vestal; brother, Ken Pelton; as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.

The Funeral Service for John will take place at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 5, 2024, at Klaassen Family Funeral Home, with Pastor Doug Bytwerk officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Memorial Contributions may be made to the American Alzheimer's Association of Michigan.
