I'm sorry to hear about your loss. He was such a great man. A super example of walking with God. I'll never forget how eloquent he was with prayer. Like poetry. I was always happy when he prayed because it usually meant I didn't have to! :-) So many great memories. Deer camp and port wine with cards. Sheila ;-) And I'll never forget the 7 shot deer. Always quick with advice, and support. Sending out love and hugs to you all.

I worked at Christian Haven Home.I was blessed with the honor of being able to assist in the care of John.We spent many times sharing our thoughts and ideas on all types of subjects with one another..One thing I would like to state is how much he loved and cared for his wife Marge. He was always concerned and worried about her well being and that she would be taken care of once he was gone.He found peace with knowing his journey to heaven had began.John was such a kind and caring gentleman. No matter how he was feeling ,he was always quick to thank you for whatever the task at hand might have been that you assisted him with.Fond memories are forever close to my heart and peace knowing that John is now with his lord whom he believed so honorably in..May you be at peace my friend,.You are and will be sadly missed...prayers to the family, may god be with you all... Sincerely and respectfully, Caregiver from CHH,Ramona Yell

How blessed our family was to have known John. His kindness will be remembered always to our children James, Sarah, Anna and Benjamin. I am so glad I recently had a chance to personally thank John for his special relationship with James. Our pastor reminds us to make Jesus look good and John certainly did a great job of that by the way he lived his life.
We love you John and will miss you!

One of the nicest gentlemen I've ever met. He and Marge were very involved and regulars at the Council on Aging for many years. He always had a smile for everyone. Rest in Peace John. My sincere condolences to the family.
