Our beloved John Steven Clyne, age 51, of Nunica, passed into eternal life on Thursday, May 22, 2025, at his home in the loving care of his wife, Candace. He was born on July 23, 1973, in Muskegon, MI, the son of Clautus "Butch" and Marsha (Luttrull) Clyne.
John was a graduate of Fruitport High School, attended Muskegon Community College and was a graduate of the Firefighting Academy. It was in high school where he met his forever partner in life, Candace Ziegenthaler (Thompson). They married on May 12, 2001, in Muskegon, MI and created a beautiful family. Dominick, their son, is proudly serving in the United States Navy.
John was a pattern maker for many years at Azko Manufacturing, but for the past eight years, he was proudly employed by Fairlife, Inc. He was a seasoned gunsmith and a proud member of the NRA, as well as the Grand Haven Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 925.
John was an avid boater who loved spending time with his family and "boating family" at Keenan Marina. He was a stalwart support of all of his family and friends and was a quiet, humble man who had a loud impact on the ones he loved. Family and friends who know John's love were blessed with many stories about the things he loved most; first and foremost, his family. John was incredibly proud of both his wife and son's accomplishments. He shared many stories about his 12 years serving as a Firefighter with the Crockery Township Fire Department and loved riding his Indian motorcycle, sharing fun stories of travels, and owning many exotic pets over the years.
John is lovingly remembered and survived by his high school sweetheart and wife of 24 years, Candace; his son, Dominick; his mother, Marsha Clyne; his parents-in-law, Adam Ziegenthaler and Kitty McCarthy; sister-in-law, Jennifer (Dave) Morden; and brother-in-law, Ross (Cadence) Ziegenthaler. He was preceded in death by his father, Butch.
