John H. Boyd

John H. Boyd, age 57, of Phoenix, AZ (formerly Glendale, AZ), passed away on Thursday, July 25, 2024, in Phoenix. He was born on May 4, 1967, in Fort Wayne, IN, to John Henry and Sylvia (Miller) Boyd, Jr.

John graduated from West Ottawa High School and then attended Hope College. He proudly served his country in the US Army National Guard.

John enjoyed soccer and baseball games and summer sports; among his favorite were swimming and fishing. He also loved animals and enjoyed the loyal company of his cats.

John will be lovingly remembered and missed by his longtime devoted companion, spouse, and caregiver, Joyce Morimanno; his mother, Sylvia Boyd of Holland, MI; sister, Nancy (Brad) Friedgen-Beil of Grand Haven; niece, Nikki Friedgen; nephew, T.J. Friedgen; and his uncles: Richard (Fay) Boyd, Tom Miller, Gene (Barbara) Miller, Mark (Peggy) Miller; and his friend and cousin, Adam Miller.

He was preceded in death by his father, John; and uncles, Jim and Andy Miller.

A private family Memorial Service for John will take place at Klaassen Family Funeral Home.

Interment will be at Lake Forest Cemetery.
