Joanne Margaret Kelley, age 85, of Grand Haven, passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 21, 2025, at Grand Pines Assisted Living. She was born on November 14, 1939, in Detroit, MI, to the late Raymond and Anne Kraus.
Joanne graduated from Dominican High School in Detroit and soon after, married the love of her life, Jack Kelley, on February 4, 1961. They cherished 62 years of marriage before he preceded her in death on June 14, 2023.
Joanne had a zest for life and truly loved her family and friends. She was known for being genuinely caring, supportive to all, and for having a good bit of fun from time to time! She also enjoyed sailing and golfing (later in life) and being a long-term member of the Grand River Sailing Club, SLYC, and SLCC.
Joanne was very active in the community and served as a leader to help establish volunteer programs for numerous groups in the Tri-Cities area including Hospice, N.O.C.H., etc.
Joanne is lovingly remembered and missed dearly by her two sons, Michael (Gillian) Kelley, Jeff (Kelly) Kelley; three grandchildren: Neill, Cate, and JJ; and two great-grandchildren, Jayce and William.
A Memorial Mass for Joanne will take place at St. Mary’s Catholic Church at a later date to be announced.
