Jo Ann (Chittenden) Connor

Jo Connor, age 81, of Spring Lake, passed away on Monday, December 15, 2025, at Harbor Hospice Poppen Residence. She was born on October 5, 1944, in Grand Haven, MI, to the late Roy and Jean (Bottje) Chittenden. Jo married Gene R. Connor on May 31, 1969, in Spring Lake. He preceded her in death on June 29, 2013, after 44 years of marriage.

Jo graduated from Grand Haven High School and then received her associate's degree from Muskegon Business College. She worked as an administrative assistant in many capacities including car dealerships, Harbor Industries, and JoAnn's Fabric for nine years.

Jo enjoyed knitting blankets for friends and local charities, and she also loved to fish for perch with her husband on Drummond Island.

Jo will be lovingly remembered and missed by her three sisters: Mary Trimble, Susan Clover, and Linda Chittenden; as well as several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband; and brothers-in-law, Bill Trimble and Harold Clover.

Private family services will be held.
