Jill Lenore Kubicek, age 68 of Grand Haven, passed away on Thursday, March 2, 2023 at Trinity Health Muskegon Hospital. She was born on June 26, 1954 in Grand Haven, to the late Tom and Cecelia Rose (Michael) Wilson. Jill married Paul Kubicek on August 12, 1978 in Grand Haven.

Jill graduated from Spring Lake High School and then Grand Valley State University with her Bachelor’s degree in Education. She worked as a first grade teacher at Whitehall Public Schools for many years until her retirement.

Jill attended All Shores Wesleyan Church in Spring Lake, and was a member of the American Legion, Charles A. Conklin Post 28 Auxiliary. She especially loved spending time with her grandchildren, reading, and taking walks on the boardwalk. Jill also loved to travel, taking many memorable trips to Disney World with her family.

Jill will be remembered and missed by her loving husband of 44 years, Paul; and their two children, Samantha (Travis) Dewys and Zakary (Nicole) Kubicek; four beloved grandchildren, Isabella, Keira, Lily, and Parker; sisters-in-law, Sharon (James) Angel and Gail (Tom) Adams; brother-in-law, John (Nancy) Kubicek; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

The Funeral Service for Jill will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, March 7, 2023 at Klaassen Family Funeral Home with Pastor E.J. Wood officiating. Visitations will be held the evening prior on Monday, March 6th, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home, as well as one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Interment will be at Grand Haven Township Lakeshore Cemetery.

Memorial Contributions may be made to All Shores Wesleyan Church to either the Backpack Ministry or Kids Hope Ministry.
