Jeffery Steven Scarbrough

Jeffery Steven Scarbrough, age 29 of Grand Haven, passed away May 11, 2019 due to unfortunate circumstances. He was born on December 8, 1989 in Okinawa, Japan to Roy J. and Evelyn Scarbrough.

Jeff graduated from Fruitport High School and attended Albion College. He worked for GLASSource in Grand Haven in Customer Service, but had several years work in construction and remodeling.

Jeff had one son, Jaivyn, and he was the light of Jeff’s life. Jeff took much pride in teaching and guiding his son and would never say no when asked to play. Jeff enjoyed camping, adventures, various sports, and most of all, spending time with his son. He also enjoyed getting together with friends, having a few craft beers, and being social when time allowed for it.

Jeff will always be remembered as being a people person who had many friends and loved to make people laugh. He will be missed by all who knew him.

Jeff will be lovingly remembered and missed by his parents, Roy and Evelyn Scarbrough of Holland, MI; his 8 year old son, Jaivyn Steven Scarbrough; grandmother, Artemia Sasutona; two brothers, RJ Scarbrough and Brandon Scarbrough of Holland, MI; his aunt, Jessie Hillsburg; uncle, Kenneth Scarbrough; mother of his son, Cristeena Decheney; and long-time partner, Virginia Schaap.

A Memorial Service, followed by a Celebration of Life, will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, June 3, 2019 at the Grand Haven American Legion Charles A. Conklin Post #28, with Chaplin Duane Smith officiating.
