Jeanne K. (Stalzer) Zalsman

Jeanne K. Zalsman, age 74 of Hudsonville, passed away on January 10, 2022 at Laurels of Hudsonville. She was born on July 6, 1947 in Grand Haven, MI to the late Joseph and Helen (Gosen) Stalzer. Jeanne married Elmer Zalsman on June 18, 1966 in Spring Lake. He preceded her in death in October of 2004, after 38 years of marriage.

Jeanne graduated from Fruitport High School and worked as a housekeeper. She was a member of St. Patrick – St. Anthony’s Catholic Parish, and enjoyed gardening and bird watching. Jeanne also was an avid reader, and loved to spend time with her family.

Jeanne is lovingly remembered and missed by her daughter, Marian (Randy) Karell; her three sons, Andy (Kelly) Zalsman, Dan (Missy) Zalsman, and Jesse Zalsman; 16 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; four sisters, Janet (Ed) Hill, Joy (Walter) Atterholt, Janie (Kevin) Doyle, and Julie (Don) Seaman; her brother, John (Jenny) Stalzer; and sister-in-law, Sue Stalzer.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer; brother, Joe Stalzer; and sister, Jessie Tripp.

The family wishes to express their gratitude to the caring staff at the Laurels of Hudsonville for taking care of Jeanne in her time there.
