Jason Patrick Aemmer, age 49, of Grand Haven, passed away unexpectedly while snowmobiling on Saturday, December 13, 2025, in Mason County. He was born on March 25, 1976, in Toledo, Ohio, to Tom and Kathy (Tamlyn) Aemmer. Jason married Heather Cuddy on September 23, 2000, in Rochester, MI.
Jason graduated from Leland High School where he played on the high school baseball team. After high school, he attended and received his bachelor's degree from Central Michigan University and began his career working for Chrysler, then K-Mart HQ, and spent the last 20 years working at Meijer Headquarters as a merchandise buyer.
Jason was a member of Harvest Bible Chapel and was recently baptized and proclaimed his faith in Jesus. He was a die-hard Ohio State fan, a true family man, and a true patriot. Jason was also an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed snowmobiling and boating on Big Blue Lake, and his favorite, Lake Michigan.
Jason will be forever remembered and missed by his loving wife of 25 years, Heather; and their children, Nicole and Jacob Aemmer; his mother, Kathy Aemmer; brothers, Thomas (Ashley) Aemmer, and Josh (Heather) Aemmer; parents-in-law, Bill & Joyce Cuddy; brother-in-law, David Cuddy; a niece and several nephews; and a cherished family friend, Mya Rutkowski.
He was preceded in death by his father, Tom Aemmer, Sr.
The Celebration of Life for Jason will take place at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, December 19, 2025, at Harvest Bible Chapel-Spring Lake, with Pastor Chris Moeller officiating. Visitation will be held prior to the service on Friday, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the church.
