Jasmyne Lee (Mohney) Korte

Jasmyne Lee Korte, age 23, passed away on Tuesday, June 25, 2024, at home. She was born on September 1, 2000, in Grand Haven, MI, to Lee Mohney and Amanda (Sedlecky) Alsip.

Jasmyne graduated from Grand Haven High School and was a long-time resident of Grand Haven. She married Alexander Korte on February 5, 2022, in Grand Rapids.

Jasmyne was a talented seamstress who loved making costumes for Cosplay, an activity and performance art in which participants called cosplayers wear costumes and fashion accessories. She also had a love of cats and dragons.

Jasmyne will be forever remembered and missed by her husband, Alexander; her parents, Lee Mohney and Amanda (Gary, Jr.) Alsip; step-mother, Felicia Sunday; grandparents: Harry & Diane Mohney, John & Patty Walwood, Gary & Dawn Alsip, Rose Sedlecky, and Steve & Alicia Sunday; sister, Haylie Alsip; brothers, Bruce and Jack Mohney, and Ayden Alsip; mother-in-law, Jodi Lynn Berch; father-in-law, Curt (Jody) Korte; and sister-in-law, Alexa Murdoch.

She was preceded in death by her sister, Lily Mohney (2017); brother, Joseph Daugherty (2002); and grandfather, Mike Sedlecky.

The Memorial Service for Jasmyne will take place at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 20, 2024, at Klaassen Family Funeral Home with Pastor Adam Moritz officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Please come dressed in Jasmyne's favorite color, blue.  

Interment will be at Grand Haven Township Historic Cemetery.
