James "Jim" Norman Paggeot, age 75 of Grand Haven, passed away at home on Tuesday, April 20, 2021. He was born on July 28, 1945 in Grand Haven to Norman Allen and Pauline B. (Foord) Paggeot.
Jim served his country in the U.S. Army from 1967 to 1969, where he completed a tour of duty in Vietnam and was stationed at Fort Bragg, North Carolina. He always said the camaraderie between himself and his fellow soldiers and service to his country was a defining experience of his life.
Jim and was an avid bicyclist who also enjoyed piloting small aircraft, and he loved to water ski and snow ski. He joined the National Ski Patrol at Michigan Technological University during his college years and maintained his membership in Greater Grand Rapids Ski club until his passing.
He founded and owned Harbor Real Estate in Grand Haven for two decades, which was a business that gave him great satisfaction.
Jim is remembered and missed by his daughter, Amie (T.J) Paggeot Hatt; and six siblings: Laurie (Jeff) Donce, Jackie (John) Robinson, Joanne (Ed) Daughtery, Jennifer Fisher, Pauline Vionet, and Patrick Paggeot.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Jerry Paggeot; and sister, Jeanne Mitchell.
