Jacqueline “Jackie” Jean (La Rue) Aylsworth

Jacqueline “Jackie” Jean Aylsworth, age 86, passed away on Sunday, November 19, 2023. She was born on June 27, 1937 in Grand Haven, MI to the late Harold and Hazel (Wood) La Rue. Jackie married Richard Aylsworth on November 23, 1957 in Spring Lake, MI. He preceded her in death on December 2, 2000, after 43 years of marriage.

Jackie worked in the Medical Records Dept. of North Ottawa Community Hospital for 27 years, and was a long time member of the American Legion, Charles A. Conklin Post 28 Auxiliary. She loved spending time with her grandchildren, baking, shopping on QVC, and traveling; her most memorable trips being Alaska, Montana, and Cancun, Mexico. In her more recent years, Jackie was especially proud of her membership with the TOPS Weight-Loss Club.

Jackie will be lovingly remembered and missed by her two daughters, Becky (Jon) DeVries of Hamilton, MI and Bonnie (Chris) Bakale of Nunica, MI; her son, Robert (Kelly) Aylsworth of Grand Haven; five grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; sister, Sallie Storey; brother, Ken La Rue; and sisters-in-law, Nancy and Barbara La Rue.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by her sister, Geri Hamilton; brothers, James and Richard La Rue; and sister-in-law, Dorthea Aylsworth.

Private family services will be held. Interment will be at Lake Forest Cemetery.
