Jacob "Jake" Daniel Defeyter

Jacob “Jake” Daniel Defeyter, age 19 of Grand Haven, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, September 1, 2023. He was born on June 1, 2004 in Holland, MI to David and Bobbi Jo (Frazer) Defeyter.

Jake graduated from Grand Haven High School, Class of 2022. At the age of 18 he became a manager at McDonald’s in Grand Haven, and was currently employed at Adient in Holland. Jake loved cooking, golfing, jogging, tending to his house plants, and playing  Fort-Night on his X-BOX. He was also a hard worker who was kind-hearted and always ready to help others in need.

Jake will be lovingly remembered and most missed by his parents, David Defeyter and Bobbi Jo Defeyter (Jason Orling) of Grand Haven; grandparents, Donnie and Kathy Rogers; brothers, Kaleb and Brendon Defeyter; special grandparents, Connie and Tom Linkous; best friends, Brennan Stever and Gabbie Zuverink; and other several friends.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Arthur and Gayle Defeyter; and his aunt, Gina Harris.

A Memorial Visitation for Jake will take place on Friday, September 8, 2023, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Klaassen Family Funeral Home.
