Gwendolyn Evon Bierman, age 46 of Grand Haven, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, October 21, 2022 at Trinity Health St. Mary’s Hospital. She was born on September 14, 1976 in Grand Haven, MI. Gwen married her high school sweetheart, Paul Joseph Bierman, on September 14, 1996 in Grand Haven. He preceded her in death on December 31, 2021 after 25 years of marriage.
Gwen graduated from Grand Haven High School, Class of 1995, and went on to work as an Optician for Dr. Ronda Ruscett, which she did for the last 25 years. She was a lifelong resident of Grand Haven, and member of Trinity Reformed Church where she and her husband organized community outreach events, served as youth group leaders, and took part in the Church’s annual Live Nativity.
When not serving at church, Gwen loved entertaining family and friends at her home, going boating, and attending wine tastings.
Gwen is lovingly remembered and missed by her three children, Emma, Joseph, and Noah Bierman; and their dog, Oakley, all living at home. Also surviving are her parents, Tim and Jayne Wallace; grandparents, Wesley and Agnes DeWitt; brother, Brenden Wallace; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Joe and Arlene Bierman; sisters-in-law, Hilary Phillips and Kimberly (Jon) Carl; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.
The Funeral Service for Gwen will take place at 11 a.m. on Friday, October 28, 2022 at Trinity Reformed Church with Pastor Randy Bremmer officiating. Friends may meet the family from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 27th, at Trinity Reformed Church.
