Gloria Nancy Koshork, age 92 of Grand Haven, passed away on Tuesday, June 22, 2021 at a local care facility. She was born on May 25, 1929 in Chicago, IL to the late Paul and Lillian (Salem) Gluck. Gloria married Duane William Koshork in June of 1947 in Chicago, IL. He preceded her in death on October 6, 2013 after 66 years of marriage.
Gloria was a member of St. Paul’s United Church of Christ and was an auxiliary member of the Flying Tigers. She enjoyed reading, traveling, doing word searches, and playing cards; especially bridge. Gloria also enjoyed sewing, swimming, and gardening. She served as the Tri-Cities Garden Club President for many years and proudly achieved her certification as a master gardener. Gloria also loved the arts and became really good at doing watercolor paintings and creating other art pieces.
She is lovingly remembered and missed by her two daughters, Barbara (Harvey) Newell of Dexter, MI and Lori (Therese) Koshork of Bremerton, WA; her son, David (Sherran) Koshork of Federal Way, WA; grandchildren, Sara Keller, Shannon Roque, April Koshork, and Lillian Koshork; great-grandchildren, Jalen, Luke, Landon, & O’Mya Roque, Mia Smith, and Evelyn Keller; cousins, Margaret Wehmhoefer and Nancy (John) Applegate; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Duane; and sister-in-law, Shirley Zboja.
The Funeral Service for Gloria will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, June 28, 2021 at Klaassen Family Funeral Home with Pastor Doug Bytwerk officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Interment will be at Fort Custer National Cemetery.
Memorial Contributions may be made to the Tri-Cities Garden Club or St. Paul’s United Church of Christ.
