George Robert Jacobs

George Robert Jacobs, age 72, of West Olive, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, August 29, 2024, at home. He was born on September 10, 1951, in Pasadena, California, to the late Harold and Marian (Jones) Jacobs.

George graduated from West Cavena High School and later received his bachelor’s degree from Brooks Institute of Photography. He proudly served his country in the US Navy from 1970 to 1974, during the Vietnam War Era, and worked at Tyson Foods for most of his career before his retirement.

George attended The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He was a history buff who loved politics, watching movies, and going to the range to shoot his guns. George also loved photography, watching baseball, and was most remembered for being a good uncle who was very generous to his nieces and nephews.

George will be forever remembered and missed by his sisters, Tassie Jacobs and Edine Bronold; brother, Mark (Cheryl) Jacobs; his nieces and nephews; as well as several great-nieces and great-nephews.

Private family services will be held at Benona Township Cemetery at a later date.
