Frank David Miller II, age 84 of Ferrysburg, passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, April 27, 2021. He was born on November 4, 1936 in Denver, CO to the late Frank and Frantzes (Allen) Miller.
Frank graduated from Longmont High School and then attended University of Colorado where he obtained his degree in Theoretical Mathematics. After serving his country in the United States Army (1954 to 1957), Frank was employed by Dow Chemical for a few years before joining IBM Corporation, where he was employed for 27 years. Upon his retirement, he was recruited to be Director of Leadership for the University of Blas-Pascal in Argentina. During that time, Frank met and then married Rosa Leciuw on December 12, 2000.
Frank enjoyed traveling the world and had lived in the Netherlands, Mexico, Argentina, and Germany. He spent many years in Florida before returning to the Tri-Cities area to be close to family. He was an avid sailor and enjoyed the time spent on the water, and participated in the World Star Championship in 1975.
Frank is survived by his wife of 23 years, Rosa Ana Miller; his children, Laura (Quintin) Jones of Spring Lake, Kim Miller of California, and Diego Noblega of Florida; and eight grandchildren: Indiana, Anabel, Penelope, Luciana, and Santiago Jones; Gabrielle Noblega; and Katarina and Alexander Miller. Also surviving are two sisters, Sally (Sonny) Sakala and Linda Miller. He was preceded in death by his sister, Patricia Miller.
