Elizabeth "Betty" J. (Safranek) Feldt

Elizabeth “Betty” J. Feldt, age 94, of West Olive, passed away on Saturday, December 20, 2025, at Harbor Hospice Poppen Residence. She was born on March 21, 1931, in Grand Haven, MI, to the late Albert and Agnes (Kerek) Safranek. Betty married Jack Feldt on October 15, 1955, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Spring Lake. He preceded her in death in 1996.

Betty graduated from high school and had her first job helping out on the family farm. She later worked for Holiday Inn (Mae Norris), Peerless Novelty, and the Yellow Jacket Restaurant. She and her husband were faithful members of St. Patrick – St. Anthony Catholic Parish for many years.

Betty enjoyed going to the casino, taking car rides to view scenery, reading, and taking trips to Arizona over the years. She most enjoyed spending time with her family at family gatherings.

Betty will be lovingly remembered and missed by her brother-in-law, James (Pattianne) Feldt; niece, Joni (Roy) Olovson; nephew, Dan (Linda) Feldt; as well as several nieces & nephews; numerous great-nieces and great-nephews; and close family friends, the Kosturik family.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Agnes Safranek; her husband, Jack; her brother, Tony Marecek; and sister, Mae (Louis) Buron.

A Graveside Service for Betty will be held at a later date to be announced at Lake Forest Cemetery.
