Elizabeth "Beth" Ella (Schultz) Cook

Elizabeth “Beth” Ella Cook, age 84 of Grand Haven, passed away on July 27, 2020 at home. She was born on July 21, 1936 in Grand Haven, MI to the late Alexander G. and Louise M. (Shashagway) Schultz. Beth married Kenneth Cook on October 1, 1955 in Grand Haven.

Beth graduated from Grand Haven High School, was a long-time member of St. Paul’s United Church of Christ, and was a life-long resident of Grand Haven. She worked for Grand Haven Area Public Schools for many years and also worked at Shore Haven Nursing Home as a CNA.

Beth was a very loving wife and mother who enjoyed reading, music, gambling, and visiting her friends. She could always light up a room with her warm personality.

Elizabeth will be lovingly remembered and missed by her husband of 64 years, Kenneth; their 5 sons: Kenneth (Jean) Cook of Grand Haven, Craig (Cathy) Cook of Holland, Kevin Cook of Grand Haven, Michael Cook of Holland, and John Cook of Grand Haven; 5 grandchildren: Josh, Kyle, Elizabeth, Craig II, and Curt Cook; 4 great-grandchildren; brother, Bill Schultz; and sister-in-law, Sandy Cook.

She was preceded in death by her two sisters, Mary Ashley and Patricia Malley; and two grandchildren, Bruce and Mary Cook.

A Graveside Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, August 3, 2020 at Lake Forest Cemetery with Pastor Matt Schmidt officiating. Visitation will be held one half-hour prior to the service at the cemetery.

Memorial Contributions may be made to St. Paul’s United Church of Christ.
