Elden Rodger Button, age 62 of Grand Haven, passed away on Saturday, September 12, 2020 at home. He was born on December 17, 1957 in Grand Haven, MI to Calvin and Phyllis (Scheltema) Button. Elden married Henrietta Hammond on August 8, 1985 and she preceded him in death on February 9, 2016.
Elden was a life-long resident of Grand Haven and was a former member of the Grand Haven Eagles, Aerie 925. He enjoyed Geocaching, and walking around town, observing the changes that have taken place over the years. Elden often ended up at the Rendezvous, having a cup of coffee with one of his grandsons. In his quiet time, he enjoyed putting together 3-D puzzles and watching U of M Football.
Elden will be remembered and missed by his mother, Phyllis; brothers, Calvin Jr. (Kelly) of Norton Shores and Robert (Pam) Button of Grand Haven; step-daughter, Kathleen (Ruben) Garza of Spring Lake; stepsons, Robert (Mary) Fuller of Spring Lake and David Fuller of New Orleans, LA; grandson, Anthony Fuller; 15 additional grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; brother-in-law, John Hammond; and two aunts & two uncles.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Henrietta; his father, Calvin Button, Sr.; brother, David Button; and his step-daughter, Anita Cross.
The Graveside Memorial Service for Elden will be Friday, September 25, 2020 at 1:00 PM at Lake Forest Cemetery with Pastor Dan Eisnor officiating.
