Dorothy "Dot" Jean Green, age 87, of Romeoville, IL (formerly, Grand Haven), passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family, on Tuesday July 22, 2025, in Illinois. She was born on October 10, 1937, in Grand Haven, MI, to Charles and Catherine (Volkema) Clark.
Dot grew up in Grand Haven and graduated from Grand Haven High School. She later moved to Knoxville, TN, where she played golf at the Fox Den Country Club. Dot loved all things fox and had an extensive collection of fox knickknacks and memorabilia which she collected throughout the years. Later in life, she became known as "Foxy Lady." Dot later moved to Romeoville, IL with her daughter. She enjoyed working on word searches and spending time with her family.
Dot is lovingly remembered and missed by her daughter, Kelli (Thomas) Cleaves of Romeoville, IL; and son, Bryan (Joanna) Green of Richmond, VA; three grandchildren: Jordan, Evan, and Eleanor; her brother, Kenneth Clark of Grand Haven; and the father of her children, Gerald Green.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and sister-in-law, Beatrice Clark.
A Graveside Service for Dorothy will take place at 12:00 p.m., on Friday, September 12, 2025, at Lake Forest Cemetery with Minister Susie Rot Barrto officiating.
