Doris Jean Earle, age 95, passed away on Thursday, August 22, 2024, at Harbor Hospice Poppen Residence. She was born on April 28, 1929, in Grand Haven, MI, to the late John and Emily (Broechek) Tysman. Doris married Leo Earle on July 13, 1948, in Grand Haven. He preceded her in death on March 23, 2008.
Doris graduated from Grand Haven High School and was a lifelong resident of the Grand Haven/Spring Lake area. She attended Hope Church for many years and was a member of the American Legion, Charles A. Conklin Post 28 Auxiliary.
Doris and Leo were avid campers who also enjoyed square dancing, snowmobiling, and traveling to all 50 states in their motorhome. They also traveled overseas and loved traveling with their travel group known as the Coast Guard City Sams. Doris and her husband also rode their motorcycle all the way to Mexico; a memory she spoke of fondly.
Doris will be lovingly remembered and missed by her children: Jerilyn (Ken) Scarth of Grand Haven, Daniel (Kathleen) Earle of Indianapolis, IN, Larry (Amy) Earle of Muskegon, and Debra (Jim) Lammie of Florida; nine grandchildren: Jeff, Greg, Brian, Amanda, Kelly, Leanne, Kristen, Jeremy, and Danya; seven step-grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; sister, Dorothy Kellogg; and brother, Donald Tysman.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Leo; her brother, Richard Tysman; and her sister, Betty Clover; and special friend, Roger Bosman.

The Funeral Service for Doris will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 31, 2024, at Hope Church in Grand Haven with Pastor Tim Taylor officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will be at Grand Haven Township Lakeshore Cemetery.
