Donald Joseph Tysman, age 89, of Grand Haven, passed away on Saturday, January 4, 2025, in Palm City, Florida. He was born on December 7, 1935, in Grand Haven, MI, to the late John and Emily (Broechek) Tysman.
Don graduated from Grand Haven High School, Class of 1954. He went on to proudly serve his country in the US Army from 1958 to 1964, during the Vietnam War Era. He worked as a forklift operator for Oldberg's for 27 years and M & S Tools for 14 years.
Don attended Covenant Life Church and was an avid bicyclist who loved bird-watching, going to the Pier, and talking with people. He also loved music and going to record shows, and was a collector of records, specifically 45's.
Don will be forever remembered and missed by his daughter, Debra (Jim) Lammie of Palm City, FL; sister, Dorothy Kellogg of Owosso, MI; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Doris Earle and Betty Clover; and his brother, Richard Tysman.
The Funeral Service for Don will take place at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, January 17, 2025, at Klaassen Family Funeral Home with Pastor Marshall Holtvluwer officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Interment will be at Grand Haven Township Lakeshore Cemetery.
