Delores Ann (Tindall) Kieft

Delores Ann Kieft, age 86 of Spring Lake, passed away on Saturday, July 22, 2023, surrounded by her family. She was born on April 2, 1937 in Fremont, MI to the late Morris and Evelyn (Meyers) Tindall. Delores married Donald W. Kieft on July 28, 1955 in Grand Haven.

Delores graduated from Grand Haven High School, Class of 1955. She worked as an administrative assistant for Heyboer Excavating for several years before her retirement and was a member of First Reformed Church for many years. Delores loved traveling, reading, photography, doing crafts, and decorating her home. She loved her family and enjoyed spending as much time as possible with them whenever she could.

Delores will be lovingly remembered and missed by her husband of almost 68 years, Donald; and their son, Brent (Anne) Kieft; her five beloved grandchildren: Erin (David) Porteous, Andrew (Maggie) Kieft, Brett Kieft, Cody (Laura) Kieft, and Eric Kieft; three great-grandchildren, Lily and Grace Porteous, James Kerry Kieft; sister, Garnet Angel; brothers, Lawrence (Judith) Tindall and Kenn (Suki) Tindall; and brothers-in-law, James Bennett and Nelson (Dawn) VanLeeuwan.

She was preceded in death by her son, Kerry Kieft; sister, Janis Bennett; and brother-in-law, Jay Angel.

The Funeral Service for Delores will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, July 28, 2023 at Klaassen Family Funeral Home with Chaplain Nathaniel Schmidt officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Interment will be at Spring Lake Township Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests Memorial Contributions be made to Hospice of North Ottawa Community.
