Debra Lynn Etheridge

Debra Lynn Etheridge, age 60 of Shelby, MI, passed away on Sunday, April 16, 2023 at home. She was born on January 20, 1963 in Grand Haven, MI to the late Roy L. and Patricia (Miller) Etheridge.

Debra graduated from high school and went on to graduate from Grand Valley State University with her bachelor’s degree in Social Work. She worked as a Social Worker for CMH for the last several years before her passing.

Debra was a member of St. Patrick – St. Anthony Catholic Parish and enjoyed reading, shopping, and cooking. She also loved watching movies, going for road trips, and spending time with her grandbaby, Nevaeh.

Debra will be lovingly remembered and missed by her two children, Jaycie and Justin Wierenga; grandchild, Nevaeh; her mother, Patricia Etheridge; her children’s grandparents, Lyle (Bev) Wierenga; sister, Kathy Kamps; brother, Jeff (Lynn) Etheridge; as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins; and many aunts and uncles.

She was preceded in death by her brother-in-law, Scott Kamps.

The Funeral Mass for Debra will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, April 27, 2023 at St. Patrick – St. Anthony Catholic Parish, with Fr. Charles Schwartz officiating. Visitation will be held the evening prior to the service on Wednesday, April 26th, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., with the Rosary recited at 7:30 p.m. at Klaassen Family Funeral Home. Interment will be at Robinson Township Cemetery.
