David J. Amburgey, Jr.

Mr. David J. (Duke) Amburgey Jr., age 50 of Muskegon, passed away Sunday, June 16, 2019 of natural causes with his Bible close by. He was born December 23, 1968 in Jacksonville, NC to David and Nanci (Falzone) Amburgey. 

Duke had been employed by RDI Foundry and was known for his great sense of humor and ability to make people laugh.  He always enjoyed playing cribbage with his son, especially since he won most of the time. Duke often spoke fondly of his deceased friend, Ray Terpstra, for showing him the way to the Lord. 

Duke is survived by his beloved son, David (Bree Smith) Amburgey III; grandson, David J. Amburgey IV; sisters,  Angela (Kirk) Paulsen and Karrie (David) Hammond; aunts and uncles, Jackie (Jim) Wierengo, Elizabeth(Dennis) Glomb, Jeff (Vicky) Paul, and Tim Falzone; nieces, Carissa (Christopher) Grant, Rachel Paulsen, and Dani Weiss; and several cousins. 

He was preceded in death by his parents; and the only mother he knew, step-mom, Audrey Amburgey; grandparents, Buford and Alice Amburgey, Charles and Margaret Falzone; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins; as well as Stuberg and Horton relation. 

A Celebration of Life will take place on Sunday June 23, 2019 from 2 to 6 p.m. at the home of Jim and Jackie Wierengo. Memorial Contributions may be made to a Charity of donor's choice.
