Craig Allen Cook, age 63 of Holland (formerly Grand Haven), passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, September 7, 2021. He was born October 29, 1957 in Grand Haven, MI to Kenneth and Elizabeth (Schultz) Cook.
Craig attended Grand Haven High School and was proud to graduate with his father, both of them receiving their G.E.D. He married Cathy Nedervelt on May 5, 1984 in Muskegon, MI.
Craig was a member of Christ Memorial Church of Holland, and was employed by Tri-Cast Foundry and Herman Miller. His last 20 years was spent working at Laketown Greenhouse and Andy Mast Greenhouse, retiring in 2020.
He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed spending his time fishing and kayaking and tinkering with his old mustangs.
Craig is remembered and missed by his wife of 36 years, Cathy; his father, Kenneth Cook; his two sons, Craig Cook II and Curt Cook; brothers, Ken (Jean) Cook, Kevin Cook, Mike Cook, and John Cook; four beloved grandchildren; brother-in-law, Rodney Nedervelt; sister-in-law Colleen (P.J.) McCarthy; aunt, Sandy Cook; and uncle, Bill Schultz.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Elizabeth Cook in 2020; and his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Bertha and Dudley Nedervelt.
The Graveside Service for Craig will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, September 15, 2021 at Lake Forest Cemetery with Pastors David VanOpstall and Mike Westerveld officiating.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society of Michigan or Harbor Humane Society.
