Charlene Elnora Easey, age 84, of Grand Haven, passed away on Tuesday, September 10, 2024, at Trinity Health Muskegon Hospital. She was born on December 17, 1939, in Hastings, MI.
Charlene graduated from Hastings High School and then Kellogg Community College, where she obtained her nursing degree. She worked as a Registered Nurse her whole career in various healthcare settings.
Charlene was a member of Nortonville Gospel Chapel and loved spending time with her family and friends. She was an avid outdoorswoman who enjoyed being out in nature camping and fishing. Charlene was involved in Four Pointes Center for Successful Aging where she enjoyed playing cards, also visiting Whitlow’s often to play euchre and Bingo. Her favorite past-time was watching the reality TV show, “Naked and Afraid.”
Charlene will be lovingly remembered and missed by her two daughters, Denice Thomason and Rebecca Keeler; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and her sister, Arloa Sovia.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of many years, Allen Easey; her son, Orton Engle; daughter, Alicia Wendell; and her sister, Joyce Parker.
A Celebration of Life Gathering for Charlene will take place on Friday, September 27, 2024, from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m., at Living Waters Church (Hastings, MI).
